AI in Kwiga: Claude, ChatGPT, and the in-app assistant
Connect your Claude or ChatGPT to a project via MCP, or open the assistant right in your account. AI builds courses and quizzes, answers questions about contacts and payments, and drafts replies to students — within your permissions.
Connect Kwiga to your AI once and choose which projects it can access. Then give it instructions in plain language, like "add a test on this topic to lesson 3" — and AI does it in Kwiga. You can work with multiple projects from one window.
In-app assistant
The assistant is a button on your account screens — no setup needed. On a quiz screen, it builds a quiz; on a lesson screen, a lesson. On the home screen, it answers questions about the project as a whole and passes tasks to a specialized assistant.
MCP connections and in-app assistants use the same platform actions and access rules: AI can only do what the staff member can do.
Connect via MCP
MCP is an open protocol that lets AI agents work with external services. Kwiga connects to them as an MCP server. Any agent that supports connecting to a remote MCP server via OAuth will work; instructions for the most popular ones are below. Each person connects once and chooses their projects when signing in.
Server URL
https://ai.kwiga.com/mcp
Enter this URL in your AI app. You don't need to enter keys or passwords: the app opens the Kwiga sign-in page automatically.
Before you start
The project owner has enabled AI in "Settings → AI" by accepting the data processing terms. Without this, neither the assistant nor MCP works in the project. Only the owner can enable it.
MCP must be enabled for you under "Settings → AI" in the "Access" section. It's always enabled for the owner; the owner or a manager can enable it for others.
An AI app that lets you connect your own MCP servers. The app decides which plans include this feature — check its help center.
Claude
Open Claude (the website or desktop app) → "Settings" → "Connectors" and click "Add custom connector".
Enter Kwiga as the name and the server URL above as the address. Leave the additional settings (Client ID, Secret) blank.
Click "Connect" to open the Kwiga sign-in page. Sign in and select your projects on the consent screen.
In a new chat, enable Kwiga from the "+" → "Connectors" menu and enter a request, such as "What courses are in my project?"
For Claude Team and Enterprise, the organization owner first adds the connector in the organization settings. Each staff member then clicks "Connect" in their own account. Claude's menu labels may change from time to time.
ChatGPT
Open ChatGPT → "Settings" → "Apps and Connectors". At the bottom, under "Advanced settings", turn on "Developer mode".
Return to "Apps and Connectors" and click "Create".
Enter Kwiga as the name, the URL above as the MCP server URL, and OAuth as the authentication method. Leave Client ID and Secret blank. Confirm that you trust the app, then click "Create".
The Kwiga sign-in page will open. Sign in and select your projects. In the chat, select Kwiga from the "+" menu and enter a request.
Developer mode isn't available on every ChatGPT plan. In Business and Enterprise accounts, an admin may need to enable it. ChatGPT's menu labels change often.
Claude Code and Cursor
For Claude Code, run one command in the terminal, then use /mcp in Claude Code to sign in to Kwiga.
claude mcp add --transport http kwiga https://ai.kwiga.com/mcp
For Cursor, go to Settings → MCP → Add new MCP server, select HTTP, and enter the server URL above. The Kwiga sign-in page opens in your browser.
The desktop app receives the sign-in response locally, so the consent screen shows a separate warning. Only confirm if you started the connection yourself.
Consent screen
Shows which app is requesting access, where you'll return after signing in, and a list of your projects. Select only the projects where you need AI. If you didn't start the connection, don't approve it — you can connect later.
Connected apps
On the "Connected apps" page, you can see which apps are connected and which projects they can access. You can also change the selected projects or disconnect an app there. Owners and managers can see their project staff's connections in "Settings → AI" and revoke any of them.
You don't need to connect the assistant in your account — it's a button on the account screens. It's available when the owner has enabled AI for the project and AI Assistant is enabled for you in "Settings → AI" (the owner always has access).
Who can do what
On the left are the MCP connection and assistants. In the center are action groups; on the right are platform sections. Thicker links mean more actions. Click a block to see its actions.

What AI can do
Copy the prompt and send it to your AI agent or the assistant in your account. Each group shows where it works. AI will ask for confirmation before deleting anything or changing what students see.

Safety and control
Staff permissions
AI can only do what the staff member can do. If they don't have CRM access, AI won't see contacts. If they can access only some products or funnels, AI counts only those and notes the limitation next to the number.
Project permission
AI works in a project only after the owner accepts the data processing terms in "Settings → AI". The owner can revoke permission there too — the assistant and MCP stop working in the project immediately.
Human confirmation
Deletion and any changes students will see in a published course require someone to click a button on the Kwiga page.
Drafts, not sending
AI drafts replies to students and assignment grades — a person sends them. AI doesn't send mass emails or handle money on its own.
Questions and answers
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open protocol that lets AI agents like Claude and ChatGPT connect to external services. Kwiga works as an MCP server: once connected, your AI can access courses, quizzes, and project data and take actions on your behalf.
Which AI apps can I connect to Kwiga?
Any app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth sign-in, including Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, and others. The app decides whether this feature is available on your plan: some offer it for free, while others require a paid or team plan. You don't need to connect the assistant in your account — it works inside Kwiga.
What project data can AI see?
Only data from the projects you selected when connecting, and only what you can access within each one. If you can't access the CRM or certain products, the AI won't see them either.
Can AI delete anything or send anything to students without my approval?
No. Deletions and changes students will see in a published course happen only after a person confirms them on the Kwiga page. AI drafts replies and grades for students — you send them.
Why isn't my project on the selection screen?
Check two things: the owner has enabled AI in "Settings → AI", and MCP is enabled for you under "Access". If both are enabled but the project still isn't listed, contact Kwiga support.
How do I turn off AI?
You can disconnect your own connection on the "Connected apps" page or in the AI agent's settings. The owner can revoke permission for the entire project in "Settings → AI" — the assistant and MCP stop working in the project immediately.
