Reports used to be granted in bulk: give someone access to courses and they also got members, progress, assignments and certificates. Comments and the email validation log were visible to any team member at all. Role settings now have an “Analytics” section where each report has its own checkbox: “Assignments: answers”, “Comments”, “Team, assistants and student groups”, “Course and marathon members”, “Course and marathon progress”, “Progress summary across courses”, “Certificates”, “Email validation log”.
Next to them is a new toggle: “Reports contain information about available products and contacts only”. It does not hide a report — it narrows what is inside it: rows, totals, filter values and exports. What counts as “yours” depends on the report: for assignments, comments, members, progress and certificates it is the products and students the person runs as an assistant or course administrator; for payments, transactions and past webinars it is the products they have view access to. So an accountant or a payments manager does not need to be made an assistant — just give them access to the right products and their financial reports will cover exactly those. Every existing role already has the toggle switched on, so nobody sees more than before; if you want someone to see the whole project, turn it off in the role settings.
The “Course administrator” and “Assistant” checkboxes in a member card now grant access to that course’s members and analytics right away, and the card shows which role will be created and where to configure it later.
The second change is Storage. Access settings have a new option, “Access to own files and folders only”: the team member sees only the files they uploaded themselves and only their own folders — in the list, in the folder tree and in search. They can rename, move or delete only a folder whose entire contents belong to them; a folder containing colleagues’ files stays visible, but its edit buttons are inactive. Folders created long ago have no recorded author — those count as shared: visible, but not editable. The setting is available to every project and is off by default; the project owner turns it on manually under Settings → Access management → the “Storage” section.
