Import contacts

Transferring contacts from another service to Kwiga can be done in several clicks. To do this, go to CRM-Contacts and use the button Mass action Import contacts.

When importing, you will have the opportunity to transfer not only the main fields (name, last name, email address), but also other fields. If you are using fields that currently missing from contact card in Kwiga - you can add global custom fields. This can be done by going to Settings and add /contact-fields to the address bar of the browser. The resulting address will be look like: your-domain.kwiga.com/expert/settings/contact-fields
Add all the fields you need before importing contacts!

Select a file on your computer (CSV or XLS/XLSX) if you are uploading a file XLS/XLSX - then specify any character as a separator.

If you want to notify students that their contact information has been added to your school and an account has been created for them, be sure to check Send an activation email.

If you are just transferring your mailing list and don't want to notify contacts, then do not check this item.

Important! We recommend adding a unique tag every time when you add or transfer a contact list in order to Subsequently, you had the opportunity to select the contacts associated with this list. If your file contains a column with the name of the course, webinar or tariff plan - mark it as “Tag”.

After the contacts are loaded, you can mark which column matches which of the fields and complete the import.

Issue permissions

As a rule, for a full-fledged move, you need not only to transfer contacts, but and issue access to products that were purchased on another platform.

In order to proceed with this step, you need to have your course or another product that who should be granted access to Kwiga, as well as an offer, controlling access to the product.

Pay attention! If you have already created proposals for sales for the following streams, you may need to create separate offers that will be used to issue access to students have already who bought the course and started learning on the old platform. This is due to the fact that access to the content of the course or other product must be restricted.

Filter the contacts that you will give access to by a specific offer. It is most convenient to use the previously added tags, denoting the tariff plan or product to which you want to give access.

If you haven't added a tag and now you can't determine which contact should access which product - just do the import again! Make sure that the activation email on re-import is unchecked, and check the column which you want to transfer as a tag. As a result of such an import, 0 will be added contacts (if you are using the same file as before), but contacts will be tags added.

Filter contacts by tags and make sure you see everything on the screen results. Change the number of results displayed to the maximum and/or scroll down the list. Only after that select all contacts by selecting all.

Then use the Bulk Action button. Depending on the resolution of your monitor, the button can be minified:

And in the list of possible actions, find Add a product, Choose an offer, to which access will be added and click Add. Students will receive notifications that they have access to the course and a link to their profile.
