Learn how to configure assistant visibility in the list of assistants for a project.
On the Kwiga platform, you can decide whether an assistant will be available to participants on the list of assistants. This option helps organize the workflow so that the assistant can check assignments, but it is unavailable for direct student inquiries.
How to Configure Assistant Visibility
The visibility settings are configured through the menu Courses → Team, Assistants, and Student Groups on the Team tab.
Alternatively, you can set it up directly within a course under the Access Control - Team tab in a specific course.
In this section, you can define for which practical assignments the assistant will be visible to students.
Assistant Visibility Settings Options
There are three main modes:
-
Available on all practices – the assistant is visible in the list of assistants and can receive responses to all practical assignments.
-
Customize – you can selectively configure on which specific practices the assistant will appear and on which they will not.
-
Not available to participants – the assistant is hidden in the list of assistants; students cannot submit assignments or write comments to them, but the assistant retains access to view them.
If you need to hide the assistant only for specific practices of the course, you should choose Personalize. In the override settings next to the assignment name, click the eye icon: an open green eye means visibility, while a crossed-out red eye means hidden from students for that practice.
Visibility settings allow you to organize assistants’ work according to the educational process's needs. This makes it possible to create an effective student support system in which assistants remain accessible while working in a convenient format.
