When and How to Update Results After Changes in a Quiz.

During the learning process, it is often necessary to make changes to a quiz — such as adding or removing questions, modifying correct answers, scoring, or review settings. To ensure that these updated rules affect quizzes already completed by participants, each quiz's Settings include a Result Recalculation function.

Kwiga records the date of the latest changes that might affect the final score or attempt status.

In the Result Recalculation tab, you can see how many participants and attempts will be affected once the function is activated.

When you click the Recalculate Results button, the system updates all attempts completed up to the time of the last edit in the background.

After recalculation, the status will change to Completed, and the following may change:

  • correctness of answers

  • number of points for the attempt

  • final result

The platform does not change the practice completion status if the quiz was already marked as Passed or Needs Improvement. However, if a participant previously failed the quiz but under the new conditions is considered passed, the status will change.

Similarly, if an attempt was previously left in progress (for example, the student did not answer a deleted question), it will now be completed according to the settings: either automatically graded or sent for review.

Participants do not receive any notifications about the result changes. The update happens silently — this is convenient when you need to quickly synchronize data after updating the quiz.
