Automation: Setting up reminders if a student does not log into the platform

Articles:

How to set up a reminder system if a student does not log into the platform, hasn't watched the first lesson, or is not completing assignments.

Automations allow you to send email templates for specific events, including setting up reminders that will automatically notify students about the course or important actions.

To create an automation, select "Automations" from the top menu and click on +Script:

Reminder for students who haven't started learning

The student has access to the course, but hasn't logged in to any of the lessons yet. In this case, the event should be set as "Access to the first lesson of the course received" or "Successful payment of the offer."

If access to the course is granted immediately after payment, select "Successful payment of the offer." If the course materials are available later, choose "Access to the lesson received" and specify the first lesson of the course.

In the delay block before the condition, specify the period after which you want to check if the student has shown any activity. For example, if you expect the student to start viewing lessons from the first modules within the first 3 days, set the delay to 3 days and the condition as "Started viewing," marking all possible lessons by adding each one separately with -OR-.

In the action section, set up an email reminder to be sent to the student. If you're using a chatbot, you can also configure it to send a message reminder in messengers about the course starting.

Reminder for students who haven't completed their assignments

For each assignment you want to track, you need to set up a separate automation! Start by setting up the first automation, and then use the copy and edit function for faster configuration.

If there is no schedule for lesson openings or deadlines for completing assignments on the course:

As the event, you need to specify "Access to the lesson received," for the lesson that contains the assignment.

In the delay section, specify the time within which you expect the student to complete the assignment (from the moment they receive access). For example, if the assignment is in the first lesson and you expect the student to complete it within the first 5 days, set the delay to 5 days.

In the condition section, set "Practice completed" and select the relevant practice. You do not need to specify the date of completion.

If the course has a schedule for opening lessons or deadlines for completing assignments:

As the event, you need to specify "Access to the lesson received" for the lesson that contains the assignment.

Do not set a delay before the condition; instead, go straight to the condition and choose "Practice completed," then select the relevant practice. Also, set the date by which you expect the student to complete the practice (this can be a day before the deadline or whenever you deem appropriate).
