Automation on our learning platform helps simplify routine tasks, make the learning process more comfortable, and boost student activity.
Automation plays a vital role in our learning platform. It significantly reduces routine processes, makes learning more convenient, and increases user engagement.
Depending on your course settings, you can issue certificates after completing a course, lesson, or another stage of training. The article describes more details on how to configure certificate issuance.
Certificates are a great way to recognize your students’ achievements and boost their learning motivation. They can be automatically sent upon completion of a selected course stage and contain the student’s name, date, and the teacher’s signature or your school’s logo.
One such process is the automatic issuance of certificates after passing a test. This saves experts time and improves the user experience: students receive well-earned rewards without delay, and you have less manual work.
This article will explain how to set up automatic certificate issuance using the built-in automation tool.
You’ll learn which parameters to set, how to select the event and actions correctly, and what to pay attention to during setup.
If you are unfamiliar with the platform's basic automation features, we recommend reading the article with general information about automation first. This will help you get oriented with the interface and the principles of the scenarios.
Note: The automatic certificate issuance setup will work only if the students have not passed the quiz. If the quiz has already been completed, the automation will not work — in that case, the certificate must be issued manually or in another way.
To create an automation, go to the “Courses” section, and under “PROCESS SETTINGS,” select “Process Automation,” then choose “+Scenario.”
In the “Event” field, specify:
“Quiz → Quiz transitioned to status,” select the status “Passed,” and choose the relevant quiz.
We recommend setting a delay of at least 10 minutes so the certificate has time to be generated and issued.
In the “Action” field, select:
“Course → Issue certificate,” and choose which specific certificate will be issued after completing the test you selected earlier.
In the following field, you can also specify what the certificate is awarded for — for a specific course or without linking it to a course.
The appearance of the certificate can be customized manually, or you can upload your own certificate design. This article provides more details.
In the end, the automation looks roughly like this:
