How to view the course from a student's perspective, everything about previewing and reviewing the course.
When creating and editing a course, you work in the course editor, where various settings are available that students do not see.
However, if you want to see exactly how the course will appear to your students, a preview mode is available. You can enter this mode from any page of the course:
The same applies to any lesson page.
Also, if you open the public link to the course or a lesson while being logged into your account, you will see your course (or lesson) in preview mode as well.
This means you should open these links in a neighboring tab of your current browser — not in a different browser and not in incognito mode!
Note! Several preview modes are available:
-
Unlimited access
-
Access limited by course settings
-
Access granted via offer
-
Access as a course participant
Unlimited Access – You view the course without any restrictions. This means that if the course has lesson release delays or checkpoints configured, they will not affect what you see — you’ll be able to access all lessons. This mode is useful for checking the display of all materials before publishing.
Access Limited by Course Settings – You will view the course with all lesson and module release delays, as well as checkpoints, in place. Some lessons may be unavailable for preview. This mode is ideal for testing the lesson release schedule.
Note: If the course uses relative delays (e.g., after X days), the delays will be counted from today. If calendar-based delays are set, you will see them exactly as configured.
Access Granted via Offer – The preview follows the settings of a specific offer, which may differ from the main course settings. An offer may override delays or remove checkpoints. If you’re setting up a new sales funnel and want to make sure everything is correct, use this mode for preview.
Access as a Course Participant – Allows you to view the course exactly as a student would, including their progress and personal access settings.
If you don’t see any students in the list, it means no one has been added to the course yet.
