How to view all test attempts

Articles:

How to check tests, see all attempts to pass and leave a comment.

On the platform, you can configure the number of attempts allowed for taking tests and manually send them back for revision if a student did not score enough points or answered incorrectly. Instructions for setting the number of attempts are in a separate article.

To view all test attempts, go to the Practice tab in the course. This tab is available on the course page — simply click on the corresponding icon.

A list of lessons and modules containing practical tasks will open a new window. Lessons without tests will not appear in the list.

Find the desired lesson, select the student, and review their answers.

The review page displays the current test completion status, all attempt versions, and the last selected answer for each question.

For each attempt, the version is indicated with a specific date and the number of additional attempts. You can select the desired version date to view the student's detailed answers from that point in time.

Next to each question is an indicator in the form of a cube that shows the number of attempts. The color of the indicator reflects the result:

  • Red – an attempt was made, but the answer was incorrect;

  • Green – the answer was correct;

  • Gray – the attempt has not yet been used.

For example, if a student tried to answer a question three times and got the correct answer on the third try, you will see two red and one green square.

If you need to view all answer options in detail, simply click on the cube next to the question. A window with all versions of the answers will open. The most recent attempts will be at the top, and earlier ones will be below.

Under each test, you can leave comments and manage their accessibility. You can allow or prohibit the student from replying to a comment and creating personal notes. If you want to leave a note for yourself, simply uncheck the box Comment available to the participant. Comments can be added in two ways:

  • To individual questions – each question can have its comment with explanations or recommendations;

  • To the entire test – a possibility to leave general feedback or a summary comment.

This helps to respond precisely to the student’s answers while also providing overall guidance on working with the test.
