How to change access for one student

Articles:

This article describes how to change a student's access to a course.

In this article:

Sometimes it’s necessary to change access to a product for a specific participant who already has active access. For example, they may want to upgrade to an advanced plan with additional features, or, conversely, downgrade to a more basic package. How can you do this quickly and without unnecessary hassle?

If the participant already has access to the product, but you need to change this access, there are two possible cases:

  • Changing the plan – when the participant wants to switch to another service package, for example, an advanced plan with extra features, or, on the contrary, a less comprehensive version.

  • Editing the order – when you need to change the access settings within the current plan. For example, adjusting the number of available lessons, changing the schedule for opening materials, turning off practice checks, etc.

If you just need to update access to a different plan, go to the "Changing Participant's Plan" section.

If you need to change the access details for a specific participant within the current plan, you need the "Editing Participant's Order" section.

Changing a Participant's Plan

If you just need to update the access, the quickest option is to add a new plan and then delete the old one.
1. Open the CRM.

2. Find the desired participant and go to their contact card, then open the Products tab.

3. Click + Product.

4. Select the same product but with a new offer, and click Save.

5. After adding the new plan, you can delete the old access.

Editing a Participant’s Order

If you need to make changes to the current access, you can use the order editing option.

  1. Open the CRM

  2. Go to the participant's contact card and open the Products tab.

  3. Click on the number of the relevant order.

  1. Make the necessary changes to the order.

For example, you can adjust the number of lessons the participant will have access to, set a different schedule for lesson release, or remove delays altogether so that all lessons become available immediately. You can also change the method of practice review or disable checkpoints (turn the switch red), depending on the needs. Then click Save.

More details about working with orders can be found in a separate
article.

Choose the method that works best for your situation: changing the plan allows you to quickly add a new offer, while editing the order helps you make individual adjustments to the participant's access.
