How to use cross-sell offers in Kwiga to show students and give them the opportunity to buy related products, compatible or similar offers.
In this article:
Cross-selling is an effective tool for increasing the average order value and introducing students to complementary products. With this feature, customers can quickly discover and purchase advantageous additional offers and their primary product.
What is Cross-Selling and How It Works
Cross-sell offers refer to products or services that logically complement the selected product. For example, if students purchase a graphic design course, they can be offered relevant checklists, an additional practical module, or a personal consultation.
The key advantage of cross-selling is that the user is already inclined to make a purchase, meaning they are more motivated to buy something more valuable.
How to Set Up Cross-Selling on Kwiga
To configure cross-sell offers, you first need to create the primary product and complementary options to enhance it. For instance, if you are selling an educational course, you can prepare alternative pricing plans that include additional materials, access to a private group, or personal consultations. Additionally, you can offer students other courses on a similar topic if they might find them helpful.
Steps for setup
-
Go to the Courses menu – Price Plans, offers and create the necessary offers if they haven't been added yet. More details on creating offers can be found in a separate article.
-
When creating or editing the primary offer, navigate to the Cross-Sell section in the offer settings.
-
Click on the + Add button.
-
Find and check the boxes for the offers that should be shown to the student at the time of purchase, then Save Changes.
After this, the selected offer names will be displayed in the Cross-Sell section of the main offer.
Note: Cross-selling works not only with courses. On Kwiga, you can sell any products or services, even if they are not hosted on the platform. When setting up a cross-sell offer, instead of selecting a product from the platform, you can choose an Off-Kwiga Product. For example, if you provide consultations for entrepreneurs, you can add a separate offer for a personal strategy session or exclusive materials hosted outside the platform.
How a Student Sees Cross-Sell Offers
When a student is purchasing access to a product, they are immediately presented with additional opportunities. A special recommendation section displays products to enhance their learning experience or expand the available materials. Each offer includes a name, a short description, and a price, and students can add it to their order with just one click.
The total cost is automatically combined with the primary product if the student selects additional options. This allows them to pay for all selected services in one transaction, saving time on separate payments.
Properly configured cross-sell offers increase the average order value and help students gain more valuable content, reinforce their knowledge, and make more efficient use of your platform.
