We will explain how to organize course registration with prepayment, early paid registration: split the payment into several parts, with the first payment made before the course starts.
On the Kwiga platform, we offer a wide range of options for receiving payments for courses, including creating a payment schedule. In this article, we will show you how to split the course payment into 2 parts: the first payment with a small amount, commonly used for course registration or reserving a spot in the course.
Prepare an offer where you specify the sales start date, access to the product, and other conditions. More details on creating a tariff plan are explained in this article.
In the "Cost" section, enter the full amount you expect to receive from students. In the "Payment Method" section, it will likely show “Full payment upfront.” Click on the blue text and select "Installments."
Uncheck the "Allow equal installment payments" option, and choose "Allow payments according to a special schedule" by selecting "Create a payment schedule." Enter the amount for the first payment (the registration fee) and specify the date and amount for the second payment. In the example below, the course will start on September 1st, so the second payment (1000 ) must be made before September 1st.
Additionally, in the example, full payment of 1199 is allowed. You can permit the full amount to be paid immediately and indicate a higher total amount, for example, 249 + 1000 , to encourage those who prefer to pay in full right away.
