How to implement access renewal sales

Articles:

A step-by-step guide for setting up an offer and automation that allows you to sell access renewals for your course to students, regardless of their original plan.

This article provides instructions on how to set up the sale of course access extensions or other products. For information on how to extend a student's access to a course if no payment is required or if the payment is made outside of Kwiga, please refer to the article How to Extend Access to a Course.

You may have several plans, each of which offers its own period of access to content (course, marathon, etc.). The method described below will allow you to create only one offer that will enable the extension of access to the course for a specified period, regardless of the plan selected by the student or their settings.

The organization of the access extension sale consists of several steps:

  1. Create an offer to pay for the extension.

  2. Create automation that is triggered after a successful payment, extending access to the course for the required period.

  3. Place links to the offer in course lessons, on a separate mini-landing page, etc.

Creating an Offer for Payment of the Extension

Go to Sales - Offers and click the +Offer button. In the offer title, provide a clear name for the students, as this will be their main reference for what they are purchasing. For example, “Access Extension for 1 Month to the Interior Design Course”.
Change the status to Published, and if you want students who have already lost access to the course to go to the course page and see this offer in the list when they click the Get Access button, check the “Display in public list” switch. If you plan to sell the access extension only via a link, do not check this switch but still change the status to Public.

We also recommend adding a description, specifying what purchasing this offer provides. In the "Offer period" section, indicate the period during which students can pay for the extension. If they will be able to purchase an additional month of access after a year, leave it open-ended.

In the "Product" section, select not your course, but "Product - External Product". This is necessary so that clients who didn't have initial access to the course can't purchase this offer, and only those who have previously paid for participation in the course will receive the extension.

Below, specify the price and payment system for processing payments. Save and proceed to the next step.

Creating Automation for Access Extension In the top menu, select the Automation option and click the +Scenario button.

In the dropdown menu, choose Offer - Successful payment for an offer and select the offer you created in step 1.

Leave the delay before condition and the condition itself empty.

In the dropdown Action, select Course - Extend course access and specify the period (for example, 1 month).

Click the Save button once you have finished creating the automation.

Placing Links

In the created sentence, you can copy the link to the offer itself and add it to the last lessons of the course, create a mailing list with the link to this offer, or add it to group chats. After the payment for this offer, the access to the course will be extended.
