How to add fractions and other mathematical formulas in the text editor.
A simple and quick solution for adding fractions and mathematical functions is to add images with the given expressions. You can also use a special module in the text editor, which is available both in the lesson and when creating assignments or tests, adding explanations to tests, or adding answer options to tests. Supported functions can be found at the following link: https://katex.org/docs/supported or https://katex.org/docs/support_table.
To add a formula to the lesson, add a block of Text, Image, Code Insertion. After selecting the desired expression from the link, add it between braces and a space: {{write the formula here}}, then press space/Enter, and your expression will automatically be replaced with the mathematical expression.
Note: There is a space after the curly braces and before the closing curly braces.
Example 1: You want to add the fraction 2+а/32-b
To add a fraction at https://katex.org/docs/supported, you need to use the expression: \frac{2+a}{32-b}
So, in the text editor on the platform, you should add: {{ \frac{2+a}{32-b} }} and press space.
Example 2: You want to add the exponent expression a^n
To add an exponent expression, you need to use the expression: \hbox{$a^n$}, so in the editor, you should add: {{ \hbox{$a^n$} }} and press space.
