How to Change a Student's Plan (Additional Payment on Kwiga)

Articles:

Description of the steps to change a student’s plan with an additional payment directly on Kwiga.

Changing a student’s tariff plan may be necessary in various situations: for example, they may want access to additional materials or wish to switch to a more advanced service package.

We recommend using Proposals to set up tariff plans. This allows you to preserve all of the student’s progress, answers, and results. If payment was made outside of the Kwiga platform, please refer to the article "How to Update a Tariff and Retain the Student's Progress in the Course."

How to Set Up a Tariff Change with an Additional Payment?

To allow students to independently upgrade their tariff plan, you need to create additional Proposals. For example, if you have three tariff plans, you should create extra proposals for transitioning between them.

  1. Copy the existing tariff that the student will switch to (for example, a tariff with a tutor).

  2. Edit the title of the new proposal (for example, "Upgrade from Self-Service Tariff to Tutor Tariff").

  3. Uncheck the "Display in public list" box – this will make the proposal available only via a direct link.

  4. Ensure that all settings match the tariff the student will switch to (course, access levels, bonus materials, etc.). If you copied the proposal, the adjustments will be minimal.

  5. Set the Upgrade Cost in the proposal.

Now, you can provide the student with a link to the created proposal. After the payment is completed, the tariff will automatically change, and access to new materials will open without further action required.
